Dear colleagues,
It was a pleasure to present the I EUROPEAN FORUM OF FIBROMYALGIA held in A Coruña on the 8th, 9th and 10th of October 2010, Jacobean year.
The success of this Forum has undoubtedly been your participation, thereby turning it into a place of encounter and exchange of knowledge. We put all our effort and enthusiasm so as to offer a scientific programme covering the most innovative aspects in investigation and treatment of Fibromyalgia that would not disappoint your expectations and at the same time would be an important source for discussion and exchange of knowledge.
This Forum was created in the hope that it would have continuity and we are confident that it is only the first of many to come in the following years.
There is no doubt that during those days we shared knowledge, experiences and concerns but the aim of the organizing committee was that it should be much more: it was to be a window to new horizons.
When organizing the Forum we also took into account social aspects and we hope that by visiting Compostela, Cultural Heritage of Humanity, during a Jacobean Year, was an enriching experience for all of you.
We hope that you felt comfortable in La Coruña and we also trust that this beautiful city, in which nobody is treated as a stranger, together with its sea, landscape and gastronomy has managed to live up to your personal and recreational expectations during your stay with us.
Last of all, I would not like to end without thanking the Galician Administration, through its Department of Tourism and Ministry of Welfare Xeral, the Provincial Council of A Coruña, The Barrié de la Maza Foundation, the doctors and scientists who generously participated in this meeting, and all those sponsors and collaborators who made it possible for us to meet up in A Coruña during those days, as well as all those associations which came from different parts of Spain and supported us those days too.
